
Sergey Kilin, Member of VYZOV Prize Scientific Committee, Receives Order of Friendship
The
renowned scientist received this state award for his "great contribution
to the development of scientific and technological cooperation between Russia
and Belarus" by decree of the President of Russia dated January 24, 2025.
Sergey
Kilin is head of the Center for Quantum Optics and Quantum Informatics at the Stepanov
Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Academician
of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and Foreign Member of the
Russian Academy of Sciences. He has made a significant contribution to the
field of quantum optics and informatics: in 1999, Sergey Kilin published the
first review on quantum computing in the Russian language. He helped establish the
Russian Quantum Center and has promoted international scientific and innovative
cooperation within the CIS countries.
